Welcome!
Market momentum has long been proven to be the best predictor of future price movements. SectorSurfer automates the process of selecting the best TSP fund to own — emotional bias is gone!  Its high performance sector rotation algorithms keep you in the best fund during bull markets and its StormGuard TM algorithms move you to the safety of the G-Fund (government securities) during prolonged bear markets. It is only by owning the trend leader and steering clear of the laggards that you can simultaneously improve returns and reduce the probability of loss. SectorSurfer evaluates your Strategies daily and sends an email Trade Alert when you have a trade to make. We also have many high performance mutual fund, stock and ETF Strategies for your other funds, or you can create your own Custom Strategy (see how here).

Gov. TSP Strategy Performance

The performance of SectorSurfer's asset class and sector rotation algorithms as applied to the Government TSP Thrift Savings Plan funds is depicted in the TSP charts shown below. This TSP Strategy applies to both the Federal TSP and the Military TSP. Simply by determining which of the TSP funds has momentum leadership and owning only that fund for the next month, SectorSurfer achieves the performance depicted by the yellow line on the TSP chart below. To better understand how SectorSurfer works, be sure to click each slide above (or its text title below each thumbnail) to review the topic's summary information. The TSP chart below has numerous areas that provide a short text description when you place your mouse pointer over a chart object, and many chart objects can be clicked to link to a more complete description. For a more theoretical discussion, please review the Sector Rotation Theory page.

Government TSP Funds Overview
The TSP Strategy is simply a group of funds managed with a particular set of rules or algorithms. The TSP Savings Plan offers a set of 10 funds providing exposure to large cap (TSP C-Fund), small cap (TSP S-Fund), fixed income (TSP F-Fund), government securities (TSP G-Fund), international stocks (TSP I-Fund), and five lifecycle funds (TSP L-Funds). By law, most of these funds must be invested in a portfolio designed to replicate a specific index. Gov. TSP funds don't have assigned ticker symbols and their historic data is not available to providers of electronic market data for services such as SectorSurfer. However, each specified index does have a ticker symbol and does have available historic market data. SectorSurfer utilizes historic market data for these indices as proxy data for each of the TSP funds as specified below.

When the StormGuard feature of SectorSurfer overrides the normal fund selection algorithm and tells you to Buy: $CASH, it is telling you to move to the safety of the TSP G-Fund. You might note that the TSP G-Fund is also listed as one of the TSP Strategy funds on the chart and think that it may be redundant. However, StormGuard operates with much longer time constants providing protection from prolonged market downturns and will prevent short term whip-saw losses when the market froth is high during major bear markets.

Note:  While "proxy" funds are an excellent representation of TSP Plan Fund performance, they in fact are not exact. However, their
character is sufficiently similar to adequately perform their intended functions for SectorSurfer's asset class rotation algorithms.

Retired? Departed from Government Service? Upgrade to an IRA!

You can escape from the TSP's over-diversified funds which inherently squash potential returns. Roll them over into an IRA account. Within an IRA account you'll have access to a wide variety of sector and country funds that can be used with SectorSurfer to unleash the full potential of our True Sector Rotation algorithms. Learn More Here about converting your TSP to an IRA.

Retired?  Employed Elsewhere?  Over 591/2?
Upgrade your 401(k) to an IRA to Unleash SectorSurfer's True Sector Rotation Potential!

You can escape from the paltry performance of your 401(k)'s over-diversified funds by rolling them over into an IRA account where you'll have access to a wide variety of country and sector funds that will unleash the full performance potential of SectorSurfer's True Sector Rotation algorithms. Good returns are required to reduce "retirement risk," which is the risk at age 65 that your savings aren't sufficient and you may have to work longer or reduce your standard of living. While traditional diversification addresses the relatively short term investment risk, its paltry returns can lead to longer term retirement risk problems. Don't win a battle but lose the war.

Learn Here how to convert your 401(k) to an IRA. Then check out  the many excellent Safety Strategies on our Hall of Fame page.

We Believe:

• High performance investment software should be for everyone — not just big Wall Street firms.
• Diversification is not a justifiable reason to own poorly performing funds — they hurt your portfolio.
• Great investment advice isn't a fund sorting tool — it's automatically selecting this month's best fund.
